Items can be dropped off Monday–Friday, 10 a.m.–2 p.m. If you have more than two bags, please call ahead at 520-909-3905 to schedule a drop-off.

Before bringing in items, please complete our in-kind donation form. This helps us prepare for your donation and provide proper acknowledgment.

Read Our In-Kind Gift Acceptance & Distribution Policy
Sister José Women’s Center gratefully accepts in-kind donations that directly support the women we serve. To ensure we are honoring both the intent of our donors and the dignity of our guests, we are committed to the following practices:
Mission Alignment: All donated items must support the health, safety, and well-being of the women we serve. We reserve the right to decline items that do not meet current program needs or quality standards.
Quality & Dignity: Items distributed to our guests must be new or in gently used condition. Hygiene products and underwear must be new. We believe every woman deserves to receive items that reflect care, respect, and compassion.
Respecting Donor Intent: When items are thoughtfully prepared for our guests—such as hygiene kits or care packages—it is our responsibility to ensure they are distributed in the same condition and spirit in which they were given.
Equitable Distribution: Donations are distributed based on guest needs and program priorities to ensure fairness and access for all women we serve.
Right to Redirect: In some cases, if items cannot be used as intended, we will thoughtfully pay them forward to trusted community partners, such as Viva Pima or the Big Brothers Big Sisters Donation Center, to ensure they continue to benefit those in need.
Acknowledgment & Valuation: Sister José Women’s Center provides acknowledgment of in-kind gifts but does not assign a monetary value. Donors are responsible for determining the value of their contribution for tax purposes.
Clothing Donation Guidelines
We are deeply appreciative of your willingness to support Sister Jose Women’s Center and the guests that we serve. Our goal is to provide dignity to our guests while helping them maintain safety by blending in. A good rule to remember is if it is not in good enough shape to wear yourself, or gift it to a friend, then please consider donating it to a clothing recycling center. We believe it’s important to ensure that all resources are used efficiently and effectively so please consider the following guidelines in selecting your items for donation.
We Can’t Accept:
• Cocktail/party dresses
• Shiny bright colored clothing or anything with rhinestones or beading
• Very short shorts or skirts
• Lingerie
• Used underwear or socks
• Provocative, suggestive, or racy
Bottoms
(pants, skirts, shorts, leggings)
• No rips, tears, pilling
• No missing buttons or drawstrings
• No stains
• No loud, garish, or offensive prints
Handbags / Totes
• No rips or tears
• No broken zippers
• No evening bags – rhinestones, glitter, etc.
Shoes
(comfortable walking shoes, tennis shoes, flats, sandals, flip flops – no heels)
• Soles should be intact with no cracks, separation, or worn tread
• No rips or tears
• No wear spots or holes (especially at the ankle and toes)
• No stains
Tops
(shirts, blouses, sweaters, coats)
• No revealing necklines
• No rips, tears, pilling
• No missing buttons or drawstrings
• No stains (arm pits, collars, etc.)
• No broken zippers
• No loud, garish, offensive, or drug or alcohol related prints
